If you are after a funny cartoon racing game that looks good, plays well and is more than slightly reminiscent of Mario Kart, then get Sonic and Sega All-Star Race - the existence of what makes this Ben 10 Race Galactic fairly redundant. It's not bad - is surprising given the weak staining of cartoons (so popular) is based on. There are 15 playable characters and 25 classes - some basic, some eye poppingly psychedelic, especially in the middle. Points around each of them is a standard selection of power-ups, ramps and dangers. It is clearly intended for a young player, but it is difficult to challenge players of most skill. If you are looking for a Christmas gift for a young Ben 10 obsession, it would certainly be a decent option, and may well have fun in the new year. However, all riders in the car in the world of video games, does nothing to lift his head above the rest.
