As the game becomes more like the film is the creation of human stars. Justin Quirk talks with Nolan North, the voice of Nathan Drake from Uncharted

As the music industry continues its freefall trade, film and 3D re still bored, video games just keep going from strength to strength. While the trade figures are quite impressive - the UK market was only estimated at a value of £ 2.8 billion - there is a more nebulous than the type of futurism, the momentum that has different forms of art is for now at least, firmly with the games currently receiving radical stylistic jumps, fans and huge financial gains, once cornered by the authors, bands and films.

It blurs the line between cinema and mobile games with the narrative, epic (short version: treasure hunter Nathan Drake career through a variety of areas attacked by unseen forces), movie trailers and credible dialogue. The launch was accompanied by the kind of stunts that look like a big budget film and shout: "This industry has the money!" Ed Zwick short film, The Hero's Journey, television commercials and big-budget Desert treasure hunt of the most ardent supporters.

What exactly do you do?

'm an actor. If I'm on stage, in front of a camera or a microphone, I do the same - but with games that require a lot of imagination. Motion capture is essentially theater Spandex, there is minimal support, and it takes a willingness to make an ass of yourself

How did you find the voice-over

I've always had a penchant for dialects. I remember that the arrest and said, "Have a think about where do these funny voices could one day."

is allowed to improvise?

course. Designers save the game and I have to talk a little more of it, improvise. I call this gold mining - most of the dirt, but you'll have the odd nugget
