Eurogamer Expo 2011: interview with Tom Bramwell

operations chief of the talking. Eurogamer.net about the ups and downs of the biggest gaming event of the UK

doors are closed, the console has been washed away and the last leaflet will be swept off the floor of Earls Court One, it's official: Eurogamer Expo, the largest of the UK video game over. another year. The game has to be in treatment; Exhibition is a rare opportunity to talk with industry professionals, meet with game developers in the world and, most importantly, get their hands on some of the issues on the floor

some of the most anticipated titles this year - such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, 3 Battlefield and descriptions of Zelda: sword skyward - is available to play for people. Others - such as CounterStrike: Attack of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Sony PS Vita - the Expo is the first time, people were allowed anywhere near them

but there is more than an exhibition game. Eurogamer staff are busy behind the scenes making sure everything ran smoothly, Tom Bramwell, director of operations, explains how a good idea to become a year of hard work.

show that there are ways to get away several years ago and how did it all start?

This is our fourth year. It kind of started with our community. We really have a community voice and participation that we want to do something more, so in 2008 we thought we might as well put on the event; We know that the publisher and think we can get some games to bring down game for the fans to play

Old Truman Brewery, we have been hired in the east end of London for two or three days, and 4,000 people pitched up it was great - the room is filled with fans of the game pod -. We have a Call of Duty - amazingly - and Far Cry 2 tournament, and the small speakers and a commission from the industry

it is just a fun little community event, but it opened our eyes to the possibility of making things bigger and more powerful, especially as it has not. been large and videogame in the UK for some time we have been talking with publishers about the game and in 2009 they decided to go big. We took over the Old Billingsgate Market in London and the Royal Armouries in Leeds

over the last two years we've kicked it up another notch for the Earls Court One, which makes it by far the largest gaming event in the UK, we sold 30,000 tickets and we have all the important games. I think that came out this Christmas, and a whole load of others are scheduled for next year's exhibition on the ground. We also have some of the biggest developers in the world here as well

so it's a lot to take in it or not

Yes (laughs) It's surreal. This year I was a senior vice president of Sony Worldwide Studios, SONY PS Vita on mobile phones to a bunch of people standing next to my logo design

it was strange for me and the rest of the men at the site, but I think that's a good thing because it gives us a reason. As we all know is going to be there to show us our place and enjoy the fun to come - time to get more exotic and organizations, we have to lose something

. .

What you have shown in this year

Tukaieag! It depends on the day you arrive at the development stage. But in the weekends, we have Tim Willits, director of creative software ID is a presentation on the 20th anniversary of the company, we have Nolan North, who plays Nathan Drake in Game Uncharted OnLive CEO Steve Perlman is too much with them - they give away free games consoles worth around 70 quid, that is bonkers!

how far in advance do you plan to show or not
