06/14/2010 Kinectimals stuffed animals to unlock in game content When you exit Microsoft 's project Natal ... e Kinect case, we were presented plush kittens you see above. Glitter, of course, but they hide deep purpose - KinectRelated goals. Animals come with a special code that can be checked Kinect (note the colorful "K" in the image above). After scanning, the cat is unlocked in Kinect 's precious animals simulator (\\ "project Natal animal" here) for some cuddle time tracked the motion.

We've seen similar functionality 's in a few' Viva Pinata with the Vision Camera. The real question is whether Microsoft will make these available for purchase in the future. The ones handed out at Kinect's unveiling event are marked as "promotional purposes only."
